When it comes to working out, not only is the objective to get in physical shape very important, but getting in shape without injury is just as important. Every muscle in our body can be worked on by walking, yoga, cardio, step aerobics, swimming, bike riding, weight lifting and more. The first rule of thumb when starting an exercise program is to learn the proper techniques to prevent injury.
There may be a certain piece of equipment that is needed in order to do this, but what about wearing the proper shoes? The proper sneakers?
Over the years, the style and variations of tennis shoes have changed tremendously. Many companies compete against each other to reach their target market, and keep their interest while gaining the interest of consumers who may never wear their brand.
The idea of this blog post came about because of my love for working out over the years, but taking my wide feet through many avenues of popular brands that didn’t make my foot feel comfortable during my workout.
I’ll be in a 5K Walk Race called My Sole Knows 5K Run on September 15th, 2018. (@mysoleknows.facebook) There were times that I chose a certain shoes for the wrong reasons. The style and the design. That didn’t make the shoe right for my feet.
I decided to speak to some people who were working out at the time and who I know personally to see what brand of tennis shoe was right for them. I also asked about the type of workout they did, and to put things in perspective, I asked them what kind songs were a must have on their workout playlist. Here’s the results!
